Robbie McCarthy (1989, he/him/his) is quite possibly the world's only instrumental composer and professional
automobile mechanic. In addition to writing thematic works for chamber ensembles across the globe, Robbie spends most of his time traveling the United States, teaching people the art of classic car restoration. He can also be heard playing oboe, English horn, percussion, and EWI on several albums, none of which belong in the classical realm. On rare occasions, you can catch DJ Robbo spinning tunes at a dance floor near you. When not playing music or servicing automobiles around the country, McCarthy can usually be found riding his bicycle around San Diego, eating pizza at a local craft brewery, or camping with friends and family.
